Christopher Phelps joined the CLASS team in 2021 and serves as the Chief Program Officer. In this role, Chris oversees all of the programs CLASS provides. He has a Master’s of Business Administration degree and about thirty years of experience in the human services field.
Starting his career as a direct support professional, Chris has served different organizations in other roles such as a program manager, director of a psychiatric practice, assistant director of services for children with autism, quality/compliance coordinator, director of programs, and executive director. Of these experiences, he has learned a successful program is obtained through a focus of providing quality services and ensuring financial sustainability, both of which are accomplished through reviewing and acting upon key performance and outcome/output indicators. He believes that through this philosophy all individuals who receive services through CLASS can establish their desired role in the community.
When Chris isn’t at CLASS, you can find him performing with his band, This That and the Other or wrestling Kurt Angel.
