Each year CLASS and many other human services organizations participate in the Highmark Walk For A Healthy Community to raise awareness and funds to help meet their missions.

CLASS is one of many nonprofit organizations that participate in the Pittsburgh Highmark Walk For A Healthy Community. This annual fundraiser is underwritten by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, so 100% of the funds raised by CLASS, come directly to CLASS!

The walk route is completely accessible and features a 5K and One-mile route. This event offers entertainment for the whole family. There is no fee to register. However, donations of $30 are required to receive a t-shirt at the walk. You must attend in person, on the day of the Walk to receive a t-shirt. 

In the past, proceeds raised through the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community allowed CLASS to build inclusive communities and fulfill our mission of Working Toward A Community Where Each Belongs by helping build an accessible home for our Residential Services, funding inclusive activities, supporting the renovations for the Centre Services Program, and allowing CLASS to continue our commitment to older adults and people with disabilities through a variety of different programs and services.

• The Walk will be held at Acrisure Stadium - 100 Art Rooney Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
• Registration begins at 7:45 am.
• The 5K begins at 9 am and the one-mile fun walk begins at 9:15 am.
